Bio-energetic testing is the product of a 30 year evolution of bio-feedback research started by Dr. Voll in the 1950’s. Dr. Voll was a German physician who became disgruntled with the traditional model of medicine and started to look at alternative methods that would address the “root” issues of his patients, rather than masking the symptom. His research proved to be very effective and has evolved into what we call today; Biofeedback, Electrodermal Screening, Bio-energetic Testing and Meridian Stress Analysis. This method of evaluation continues to advance and has proven to be a valid method for determining disturbances within an individual’s energetic field/body.

At Allium Wellness, I use a Qest4 bio-energetic testing machine. The client holds two brass hand electrodes, that creates a simple, low-voltage circuit through the body’s skin and measures electrical resistance of the skin. This offers and energetic view of the body, rather than a medical diagnosis. Electrodermal screening detects imbalances in the body, we then work to correct the imbalances using necessary vitamins, minerals, herbs, homeopathic remedies and lifestyle changes. Electrodermal screening is not used to diagnose or treat illness.
